Challenges:
Upon reviewing its current operations and in order to increase manpower, efficiency, and warehouse storage space, Pet Lovers Centre decided to adopt automation technology. Challenges of the project included:
- Using rider reach trucks to store pallets was very time-consuming and products were prone to damage due to manual handling.
- An increase in the number of products and business volume called for the need to increase storage capacity in the existing warehouse.

- WMS/MFC software
Benefits:
The WMS software provides a seamless interface with Pet Lovers Centre’s host system to manage the receiving of incoming goods and outbound orders. Information is collected and compiled into a centralised database so that Pet Lovers Centre can track inventory movement. Further, the customized multi-deep automated storage system has been able to:
- Drive efficiencies and achieve greater productivity
- Deliver real-time visibility to Pet Lovers Centre across its warehousing operations
- Enhance accurate and on-time deliveries to various outlets as well as to customers’ homes
- Optimize usage of the space in the existing odd-shaped warehouse
- Double the storage capacity as compared to a traditional warehouse with conventional racking
