Körber’s team will work with your organization to plan and design your supply chain automation solution, which may consist of Körber equipment along with different components from various suppliers. Making sure everything is integrated seamlessly, our experts will efficiently and effectively manage all elements of System Concepting and Design.

Warehouse industry challenges

Today’s warehouse organizations face a range of challenges:

  • Most businesses are looking for ways to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
  • Recruiting people to work in warehouses is becoming more difficult.
  • Speed of change in the warehousing sector is increasing rapidly (due to industry advancements such as ecommerce).
  • With more and more product lines being introduced, space may be an issue.
  • Automation is usually the way forward but most organizations lack the technical knowledge and expertise to design a future-proof solution.

Planning your ideal system

Following the consulting phase, our dedicated team of system designers will step in to manage the concept and design phase.

Most warehouse solutions comprise various technologies (conveyors, stacker cranes, robots and so forth) from a range of different suppliers. An essential part of this phase involves integrating all the disparate components into a cohesive system that functions seamlessly. Our highly skilled engineers keep up to date with all the latest supply chain automation technologies. We are also informed in terms of ongoing industry developments and research to generate supply chain optimization, making us fully qualified to plan your system.

Our System Concepting and Design team will provide you with a proposal for your warehouse automation solution. We will engineer the solution, explain it to you in detail, and calculate all costs. You will then have a good understanding of how the solution works, and why it is the right choice for your organization.

I highly recommend Körber; they understood our challenges and solved them on time, which is incredibly important when you’re dealing with such such a large system. Our solution is tailor-made – we had some limitations due to existing buildings – but this was solved by Körber.
