Warehouse management challenges for businesses using SAP

The SAP EWM solution is specifically designed for businesses using SAP S/4HANA or SAP ERP to optimize their internal warehouse and business processes and enhance overall performance. Our consulting and implementation expertise allows us to fully leverage its capabilities to address logistics requirements and challenges for our customers, by ensuring:

  • Seamless integration of SAP EWM with SAP S/4HANA or SAP ERP.
  • An optimized implementation for each customer, independent of their size, vertical, or underlying business process requirements.
  • Complete visibility of inventory and warehouse processes.
  • Integration of logistics and industry-specific automation hardware, based on SAP’s de-facto standard interfaces and process integration functionality.
  • Effective support for multi-client environments.
  • Support for value-added, advanced logistics services in the warehouse, such as kitting processes of electronics products.

SAP end-to-end warehouse logistics solution

SAP EWM offers a future-proof system with comprehensive support for logistics processes and full transparency over stocks and business processes.

Körber is very experienced when it comes to complex and highly automated warehouses. Our consultants can fully leverage EWM’s flexibility to ensure the system is perfectly customized to address each customer’s requirements. Our experience applies to both greenfield (new) and brownfield (existing) sites, and to migrating systems over from SAP Warehouse Management (SAP WM).

The included SAP Extended Warehouse Management MFS (Material Flow System) optimizes everything from automatic storage and conveyor technology systems, to transport routes, interleaving, and dynamic transport destination allocation. All of this helps to ensure that equipment is utilized to its full capacity, leading to maximum performance and return on investment. Complex intralogistics equipment can also be directly coupled to the SAP system, further promoting transparency and efficiency.

SAP provides an industry-leading common platform approach, a “homogenous landscape” which enables complete and seamless integration between SAP EWM and the ERP (SAP S/4 HANA or SAP ERP). The standard solution is highly customizable, and can be tailored to meet the exact needs of each individual business.

The Körber difference

SAP EWM and the other applications of the Supply Chain Logistics suite are ready for the future, to manage every aspect of supply chain logistics and order fulfillment. With our extensive experience in implementing SAP solutions and integration of our SAP-based software Add-ons, we can consult and deploy without bias and prioritize the benefits for the businesses.

Körber is recognized as one of the largest independent SAP partners for IT solutions in the entire supply chain. As a strong SAP partner, we have been continually awarded various SAP partnerships for more than 15 years (e.g. SAP Recognized Expertise Partner in Supply Chain Management). Based on our status as a SAP “Ramp Up” partner, we’re also heavily involved in testing new versions and product improvements before they are released, and can also implement them at selected customers. This added benefit keeps us – and our customers – ahead of the curve.

For our customers running SAP worldwide, it makes the most sense to completely integrate their supply chain processes on the SAP platform. This means every warehouse and every transport management solution needs to be SAP-based. As an international company, we can deploy these solutions on a global scale. That’s something not a lot of our competitors can do.
