For starters, you’ll see this is the first time “Körber” is in front of the annual supply chain event’s name. And, this is the first time we will host three separate conferences – specific to the Americas, Europe and Asia/Pacific. We’re proud to celebrate one year since bringing 12 supply chain companies together under the Körber brand, starting with Elevate Americas from March 8-12.
We launched with the new message “conquer supply chain complexity.” But we had no idea how literal that message would become. Just one week after our last conference, the U.S. went into a lockdown due to COVID-19 – and essential businesses struggled to keep up with unprecedented demand. Toilet paper and paper towels flew off store shelves. Meat was rationed. Retail trends that were still in their infancy, such as Buy Online, Pick Up in Store (BOPIS), became many shoppers’ main methods of picking up goods. We gained a lifetime’s worth of lessons on becoming an agile supply chain in just a few short months.
As we gather this year to discuss our learnings, things continue to look different. We’re still conquering supply chain complexity, albeit from our living rooms. And because we know you’re suffering from Zoom fatigue, we knew we had to reimagine more than the conference name: the virtual Körber Elevate 2021 needed to offer an experience you just can’t get elsewhere.
We could try to sell you on the ability to watch Elevate in your pajamas. But we have much more exciting plans in store. Here are five reasons it’s time to get excited about Körber Elevate 2021.
1. We’re coming to you live.
While we’re not physically gathering together this year, there’s no reason you should feel disconnected from other attendees. Körber Elevate offers multiple breakout sessions, interactive clinics and roundtable discussions where you can connect with 1,000+ of your supply chain peers and share best practices learned during this game-changing year. More than 150 Körber team members will also be available for one-on-one sessions to help you get the most from your Körber solutions. 2. We’re offering the ultimate in flexibility.
With more than 100 sessions, you’re bound to miss a presentation you really wanted to hear. In person, you’d have to make the tough decision about what to see and what to skip. But this year, Körber Elevate will make all sessions available to all attendees soon after they’re done, offering you the chance to binge any you’ve missed. On top of that, we’ve made this year’s presentations “snackable,” with most sessions running only 30 minutes – 20 to hear from the experts, and 10 to ask questions. We’re getting you the knowledge you need on demand, from your cell phone, tablet or laptop.
3. We’re giving you behind-the-scenes looks at the supply chain.
Why just talk about the latest in supply chain solutions when we can show you? As part of our virtual presentations, we’re offering several exclusive peeks inside warehouses running the latest in Körber technology. Hear from supply chain experts as they walk you through the software and automation technology they’ve used to reinvent their supply chain – while they show you what these solutions look like in action. We’ve got some exciting virtual warehouse tours lined up, so stay tuned for the full list!
4. We’re getting the (work) party started – in person or virtually.
In the past, resource constraints meant one, maybe two, members of your team could attend Elevate. This year, we want as many of your colleagues to attend as possible. That’s why we’re rolling out a watch party function, allowing you to view presentations with your co-workers either virtually or together in the office, where health and safety guidelines allow. 5. We’re making things interactive.
