Dollar Shave Club seeks solution to handle unexpected demand

Subscription-based online razor company, Dollar Shave Club, saw explosive growth after a video ad went viral on YouTube. The company saw unanticipated demand and was not ready to fulfill thousands of orders in only 48 hours. Dollar Shave Club was looking for a flexible WMS with the ability to adapt, knowing rigid WMS systems would not work for eCommerce. The cost-effective option was to go with Körber's cloud-based WMS. The addition of the new WMS allowed for more shipments per day, increased order accuracy, and a decrease in returns.
